Untitled (My Gold is Yours)

Dimensions:
Gold and concrete, 8 3/16 x 8 3/16 x 8 3/16 feet, (2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 m)

Piero Golia was invited to represent Italy at the Venice Biennale in 2013. We created for him a solid cube of concrete with a side length of 2.5m by pouring it on sight at the Italian Pavilion. During the pouring of the concrete, we spread 1kg of gold into it. Later the audience was invited to dig for gold.
