Anna-Maria Bauer went to Rodriguez island where she formed parts of skin and shell from living tortoises using alginate. Some of the tortoises were over 100 years old. Anna-Maria made plaster and wax casts to preserve the form. From these casts we made 0.5mm thick copper copies during her studio visit in Belgrade.
